Fitness KickBoxing

 

Kickboxing classes are forty five (45) to sixty (60) minutes long, and are strictly for fitness and conditioning, there is no competitive aspect to these classes.

Our Kickboxing classes are designed to burn fat, increase cardio-vascular ability, and promote lean muscle mass. This last point is very important for two reasons:

  1. Lean muscle mass burns calories all the time. Even while at rest! This means that the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn watching tv, exercising, whatever.
  2. Muscle weighs more than any thing else in your body. This means that while your body composition will change quickly, your over-all weight may not. In some rare cases, we have even had students who experienced an initial rise in weight due to quick muscle uptake.

Classes are taught by trained instuctors, so you can learn to punch and kick safely and with proper form. You will warm up, execute movements in the air (floorwork), strike bags, perform various exercises, and stretch during class.
The first class is free - so you can try it out before you commit...because if you don't like it, you won't do it. And if you don't do it, it won't help you.
